★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Sant’Antonio fu costruita come oratorio della Confraternita di Sant’Antonio Abate dal vescovo Della Rovere nel 1575. Nell’archivio della chiesa parrocchiale è conservato il documento in cui si chiede licenza di edificare la chiesa e di istituire la compagnia dei Disciplinati (27 gennaio 1575).
I confratelli indossavano una tunica bianca con foro posteriore ed erano conosciuti anche come Flagellanti o Battuti, in quanto eseguivano l’autoflagellazione nella prima domenica di ogni mese e durante la Quaresima, come forma di penitenza.
Intorno alla metà del Seicento la Confraternita fece realizzare la statua lignea raffigurante Sant’Antonio da Michele Enatem, scultore di origine fiamminga attivo ad Asti.
L'elegante facciata della chiesa, barocca, risale alla seconda metà del Settecento.
 The church of St. Anthony was built as a chapel of the Brotherhood of St. Anthony Abbot by Bishop Della Rovere in 1575. In the archives of the parish church contains the document asking license to build the church and establish the company of the Disciplined (27 January 1575).
The brothers wore a white tunic with a back hole and were also known as Flagellants or Battuti, as they performed self-flagellation on the first Sunday of each month and during Lent, as a form of penitence.
Around the middle of the seventeenth century the Confraternity had the wooden statue depicting Saint Anthony by Michele Enatem, a sculptor of Flemish origin active in Asti.
The elegant façade of the church, baroque, dates back to the second half of the eighteenth century.
