★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa, dalla facciata austera ed edificata attorno al 1000, fu teatro nel 1271, come ricorda una lapide posta all'esterno, di un feroce episodio che fece molto scalpore all'epoca ed è ricordato da Dante nel Canto XII dell'Inferno. Durante la messa Guido di Monfort uccise per vendetta proprio sull'altare il Principe Enrico di Cornovaglia. Molto bella è l'antistante Piazza del Gesù con i suoi edifici medievali, in particolare la Torre del Borgognone.
The church, with an austere facade and built around 1000, was the theater in 1271, as a plaque on the outside reminds us of a ferocious episode that caused a sensation at the time and is remembered by Dante in Canto XII of Hell. During the Mass, Guido di Monfort killed for revenge, right on the altar, Prince Henry of Cornwall. Very beautiful is the opposite Piazza del Gesù with its medieval buildings, in particular the Torre del Borgognone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uroczy kościółek. W apsydzie znajduje się XVI wieczny fresk oraz XVII wieczny krucyfiks. Sam kościół jest o wiele starszy.
A charming little church. The apse has a 16th century fresco and a 17th century crucifix. The church itself is much older.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccola chiesetta che sorge sulla centralissima piazza del Gesù e che viene ricordata per un cruento fatto di cronaca d'altri tempi piuttosto che per la sua austera bellezza. Un peccato che sia quasi sempre chiusa e non visitabile.
Small church that stands on the central Piazza del Gesù and is remembered for a bloody news story of other times rather than for its austere beauty. A pity that it is almost always closed and not open to visitors.
