La posizione poi, a strapiombo sul burrone del fiume Boite, la rende unica e scenografica, da distante appare come sospesa mentre domina la valle sottostante. La si raggiunge percorrendo la strada romana che attraversa l'antico paese, per i pigri in auto o meglio a piedi, assaporando i vicoli, le fontane e le costruzioni del borgo montano che, dagli anni 70 in cui lo frequentavo nei mesi estivi, ad oggi non sono cambiati di molto. Per visitare questo monumento del 1817 costruito su una base di Castello Romano del 1200 circa, bisognerà richiederne l'apertura al parroco fissando un appuntamento. È un peccato che oggi la struttura sia a rischio crollo vista l'erosione della parete che la sostiene, speriamo in un intervento di mantenimento (anche divino... ? considerata la latitanza terrena) , si perderebbe altrimenti un sito unico nello splendore della Valle cadorina.
