Si differenzia dalle altre chiesa marchigiane che in genere hanno reliquie di Santi Dalmati o Siriani, per aver una reliquia il braccio di San Medardo Vescovo Franco del VI sec.di San Quintino ora Francia e sicuramente non è un caso. Nel 1500 diviene una Collegiata (Cattedrale senza vescovo ma con un collegio sacerdotale). Aspettando che Brera le restituisca giustissimamente, la sua "Pala d'Arcevia" di Luca Signorelli rubata indegnamente da Napoleone. Ci consoliamo con ben due Signorelli due Dalla Robbia ( un terzo Mattia dalla Robbia si trova nel vicino Convento Santa Lucia delle Clarisse d'Arcevia con Ridolfi ecc.) poi troviamo: Canova, Agabiti, Cantarini, Ramazzani, Venanzo da Camerino. ecc. Magnifica è la cappella del santo crocifisso con sculture altre lignnee di Sa Michele, Davide e Nostra Signora, veramente magnifiche. La chiesa è sempre aperta e molto accogliente lasciano fotografare tranquillamente ma bisogna civilmente spegnere poi le luci superflue. Le reliquie di San Medardo si trovano in una teca all'interno del magnifico altare con alle spalle il coro. Tra i personaggi famosi di questa Chiesa troviamo Padre Giuseppe Gianfranceschini un fisico che Partecipò all'impresa di Nobile al Polo Nord come cappellano, fondò gli scout italiani e con Marconi Radio Vaticana. The earliest records date back to the 1200s. L	LARA Gentilucci on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pochi passi dalla piazza centrale merita senza alcun dubbio una visita , all’interno tra le tante opera sono rimasta folgorata dal dipinto di Gigli che con un realismo moderno quasi fotografico ci mostra una madonna diversa , moderna e colpita da una luce che sembra emergere dal retro del quadro . Assolutamente da vedere . Di grande impatto l’opera Fiorentina di color bianco vivo , raramente si vedono queste opere all’interno delle chiese . M	Marta Cappannari on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Praticamente l'unica chiesa di Arcevia che abbiamo trovato aperta, molto ricca di fregi ma senza risultare pacchiana. Bellissimo l'altare in ceramica di Della Robbia, sicuramente vale la pena di visitarla anche solo per quello. Practically the only church in Arcevia that we found open, very rich in friezes but without being tacky. The ceramic altar by Della Robbia is beautiful, it is certainly worth a visit for that alone.
F	Furio Lambruschi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una chiesa che custodisce inaspettatamente grandi capolavori, fra tutti quelli di Luca Signorelli e di Della Robbia. Aldilà dell’aspetto artistico, sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito dal trovare, finalmente dopo due anni, l’acquasantiera con dentro acquasanta e non idrogel. Inoltre, sul portale è riportato un messaggio contro la guerra equilibrato e che dice cose vere.. cosa purtroppo rarissima e coraggiosa negli ultimi tempi. Complimenti a Don Sergio, che il Signore lo protegga! A church that unexpectedly houses great masterpieces, among all those by Luca Signorelli and Della Robbia. Beyond the artistic aspect, I was pleasantly surprised to finally find, after two years, the holy water stoup with holy water inside and not hydrogel. Furthermore, on the portal there is a balanced anti-war message that says true things .. which unfortunately is very rare and courageous in recent times.
