β β β β β Ho visitato con interesse la Chiesa della SS Annunziata, situata a San Lazzaro, una frazione di Agerola, che si affaccia su piazza gen. Avitabile caratterizzando notevolmente l'immagine urbana di questo piccolo borgo.
La struttura si sviluppa su tre navate e transetto, in cui allo stile romanico-rinascimentale a cui si Γ¨ aggiunta una veste decorativa in barocco locale, mentre sulla facciata della chiesa spicca un grande timpano.
La pianta della chiesa Γ¨ a croce latina, a tre navate absidate, con transetto contenuto nel perimetro delle navate. Le navate sono divise da file di pilastri ed archi a tutto sesto. Le navate laterali, composte da tre campate, ospitano lungo i perimetri esterni una serie di cappelle lievemente incassate con relativi altari.
La navata centrale si chiude con una volta a botte in tre sezioni, decorata con altrettanti affreschi all'intradosso. Le navate laterali ed il transetto presentano volte a crociera leggermente ribassate, su ciascuna campata. La copertura dell'abside centrale Γ¨ costituita da una calotta con tre finestre, quelle laterali da cupolette ribassate e decorate.
Il campanile Γ¨ posto alla sinistra della facciata. E' composto di quattro registri, di cui il primo corrisponde al primo livello della facciata. I primi tre registri hanno base rettangolare, mentre l'ultimo ha pianta ottagonale che si chiude con una piccola cupola con lanternino finestrato.
I visited with interest the Church of SS Annunziata, located in San Lazzaro, a fraction of Agerola, which overlooks piazza gen. Avitabile greatly characterizing the urban image of this small village.
The structure is spread over three naves and transept, in which the Romanesque-Renaissance style to which has been added a local Baroque decorative garment, while on the facade of the church stands a large tympanum.
The plan of the church is a Latin cross, with three apsed naves, with a transept contained in the perimeter of the naves. The naves are divided by rows of pillars and round arches. The lateral naves, made up of three bays, host along the external perimeters a series of slightly recessed chapels with relative altars.
The central nave closes with a barrel vault in three sections, decorated with as many frescoes on the intrados. The side aisles and the transept have slightly lowered cross vaults on each span. The roof of the central apse is made up of a cap with three windows, the lateral ones with lowered and decorated domes.
The bell tower is located to the left of the facade. It is composed of four registers, of which the first corresponds to the first level of the facade. The first three registers have a rectangular base, while the last one has an octagonal plan which closes with a small dome with a window lantern.

La data sulla costruzione della chiesa Γ¨ incerta: sicuramente fu costruita sullo stesso luogo dove in precedenza sorgeva un piccolo edificio sacro dedicato a San Lazzaro; nel 1605 ospitΓ² la congregazione del Santissimo Sacramento, a cui si aggiunse circa un secolo dopo anche quella del Rosario e dei Morti. Nel 1812, a seguito della soppressione degli ordini religiosi, numerosi arredi sacri provenienti dal convento di Cospiti, furono trasferiti nella chiesa per volere dell'allora sindaco Tommaso Acampora.

The date on the construction of the church is uncertain: it was certainly built on the same place where previously there was a small sacred building dedicated to San Lazzaro; in 1605 it housed the congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, to which was added about a century later that of the Rosary and the Dead. In 1812, following the suppression of religious orders, numerous sacred furnishings from the convent of Cospiti, were transferred to the church at the behest of the then mayor Tommaso Acampora.
