Il sacerdote fa del suo meglio poiché doveva dare la prima Comunione ad alcuni bambini La suora, che lo coadiuvava, dolcissima e gentilissima. Io ho predo l'Ostia e x me è stato un momento molto intenso, circondata da questo alone di vetusto ma allo stesso tempo coinvolgente. It is a very beautiful, very old church. La chiesa si caratterizza da una facciata sobria, affiancata da un alto campanile che venne realizzato in due fasi. I lavori della base del campanile ebbero inizio nel 1520, quando ancora esisteva il precedente oratorio, utilizzando le pietre derivanti dall’antico castello dei Barbavara mentre la parte superiore risale alla fine del 1600. Nel suo complesso il campanile é alto 65 metri La struttura interna della chiesa é ripartita in tre navate, che si chiudono con absidi poligonali e con una cupola nel mezzo. Al suo interno vi sono pregevoli sculture lignee quali il coro, il pulpito, l’altare e il fonte battesimale. Sono degni di nota anche i dipinti seicentesco e l’organo, che si caratterizza per essere il più antico di tutta Verbania, realizzato nel 1797 da Eugenio Biroldi.
