★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Camminando lungo questa via che porta alla piazza principale della città, ci si imbatte in questa bella e piccola chiesa nel cuore del centro storico di Lecce. Peccato sia quasi sempre chiusa ma esternamente anche grazie al recente restauro si presenta molto bene curata, bella da vedere.
Walking along this street that leads to the main square of the city, you come across this beautiful and small church in the heart of the historic center of Lecce. Too bad it is almost always closed but externally also thanks to the recent restoration it is very well cared for, beautiful to look at.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Sant'Anna, insieme all'attiguo Conservatorio omonimo, è una costruzione barocca del centro storico di Lecce edificata nel 1680 e voluta da Teresa Paladini, per richiesta testamentaria del marito Bernardino Verardi.
Presenta una struttura architettonica semplice e di impronta classica e ripropone lo stesso disegno compositivo della facciata principale del Duomo, il che suggerisce la sua attribuzione al medesimo autore, Giuseppe Zimbalo.
The church of Sant'Anna, together with the adjacent conservatory of the same name, is a Baroque building in the historic center of Lecce built in 1680 and commissioned by Teresa Paladini, following the testamentary request of her husband Bernardino Verardi.
It has a simple and classical architectural structure and proposes the same compositional design as the main facade of the Duomo, which suggests its attribution to the same author, Giuseppe Zimbalo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Forse tra le chiese del centro storico di Lecce, la facciata della chiesa di S. Anna è tra quelle meno "appariscenti". Al suo interno invece grazie agli altari barocchi, i numerosi dipinti, il controsoffitto ligneo, l'antico organo e la luminosità dell' unica navata, ne fanno un'autentica bomboniera.
Grazie anche alla dedizione e allo zelo dei giovani sacerdoti che da qualche tempo qui prestano il loro servizio pastorale.

Perhaps among the churches in the historic center of Lecce, the façade of the church of S. Anna is one of the less "striking" ones. Inside, however, thanks to the Baroque altars, the numerous paintings, the wooden false ceiling, the ancient organ and the brightness of the single nave, make it an authentic favor.
Thanks also to the dedication and zeal of the young priests who have been offering their pastoral service here for some time.

DOMENICA ore 11 Cantata e 18.30
The church is open every day from 9 to 12 (not on Mondays) and from 16 to 20.
Mass is celebrated according to the missal of St. Pius V in Latin from Mon to Fri at 18.30 (17.30-18.15 Eucharistic Adoration)
Saturday at 11am.
SUNDAY 11.00 am Cantata and 6.30 pm
