Edificata nel 1333 da Antonio ed Enrico di Volparo in omaggio alla volontà del padre Lorenzo, fu dedicata a Santa Maria Assunta. Tra le curiosità di questa chiesetta, il ritrovamento di una lapide nell’antico cimitero che circondava il terreno dell’edificio con scritto: «Quantum sufficit»per far intendere all’uomo quanto poco spazio ha dopo la morte (dentro la bara). Negli anni Novanta, su iniziativa degli abitanti di Volparo, son stati restaurati gli affreschi trecenteschi che raffigurano la Madonna con il Bambino .
