Il luogo ha un'atmosfera d'altri tempi e trascorrerete un'oretta indimenticabile se ci andate al tramonto. MAGICO A unique place. You have to drive a little but it's worth it. La vista di Salina e delle altre isole è davvero molto bella, ne vale la pena. Very nice little church located right on top of the hill. It is very small, in fact in this particular period the Masses take place outdoors. The view of Salina and the other islands is really beautiful, it's worth it.

La cosiddetta Criesa vecchia, dedicata alla Madonna della Catena ha una piazza da cui si potrà godere una vista su Salina che comprende sia la frazione di Lingua che quella di Rinella e il comune di Leni. Dalla sua terrazza si gode inoltre a est un alba su Stromboli e Panarea e un tramonto a volte struggente su Filicudi e Alicudi. A beautiful church in one of the most beautiful and panoramic places in Lipari. The so-called old Criesa, dedicated to the Madonna della Catena, has a square from which you can enjoy a view of Salina which includes both the hamlets of Lingua and that of Rinella and the municipality of Leni. From its terrace you can also enjoy a sunrise over Stromboli and Panarea to the east and a sometimes poignant sunset over Filicudi and Alicudi.
