(from Wikipedia): Church of the Holy Trinity Built around 1700, it was restored in the 19th century. The church has a single nave and on the altar there is a painting of considerable artistic and cultural importance dating back to the mid-700, which depicts the Holy Trinity. Together with the painting of the Holy Trinity we find the coat of arms of the Rota, characterized by a blue background with a crowned eagle, a golden wheel with eight rays (in the center) and the symbol of Belvedere which recalls the current standard. Under the influence of the Rota, it is assumed, with little reliability, that the body of the prince Don Tommaso Rota was buried inside the small church "Santa Maria della Pietà" located nearby, which however does not find any influence of this family. Also present in the interior is the statue of the Most Holy Rosary and that of the Madonna Della Pietà, patron saint of Belvedere. The exterior has been restored several times and as an eighteenth-century element we find the stones used for the construction. ---- Andrea Pesavento, on the other hand, dates it back to the 17th century, when the population was "Greek": in 1543 of the 74 duochi, 69 were reported as "Albanians". The large presence of a population, which practiced the Greek rite, will attract the "attentions" of the bishops of Cerenzia-Cariati especially after the Council of Trent. Thus at first the Greek rite will no longer be tolerated and practiced in the parish church, but will have to be celebrated by the population in some rural churches located on the edge of the built-up area.
