La Chiesa fu dedicata al l'oro Patrono, Sant'Andrea, nei primi del seicento gli Amalfitani lasciano la gestione della Chiesa agli Aromatari, odierni farmacisti.
La Confraternita degli Aromatari ingloba altre strutture e ricostruisce la Chiesa, creando nei locali retrostanti un piccolo ospedale ed una spezieria per i poveri della zona.
Dopo alterne vicende, la Chiesa viene chiusa ed utilizzata come magazzino, sino a alcuni anni fa, quando viene restaurata ed adibita ad iniziative culturali.
The Church is located in the central area of Vucciria, the first construction took place in the mid-two hundred by the merchants of Amalfi who had their neighborhood here.
The Church was dedicated to the patron gold, Sant'Andrea, in the early seventeenth century the Amalfitans left the management of the Church to the Aromatari, today's pharmacists.
The Confraternity of Aromatari incorporates other structures and reconstructs the Church, creating in the rooms behind a small hospital and a pharmacy for the poor of the area.
After various vicissitudes, the Church was closed and used as a warehouse, until a few years ago, when it was restored and used for cultural initiatives.
