a	alisei. net on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Realizzata in stile gotico insieme al convento degli Eremitani di S. Agostino, verso la fine del 1200. Come sempre avviene, fu oggetto di diversi interventi nel corso della sua storia. La facciata, rimasta incompleta, presenta un portale in pietra d´Istria nella cui lunetta è collocata la statua di S. Agostino. L’interno si presenta come una grande navata coperta da una pesante volta. Recenti gli interventi di conservazione con uso di colori chiari quali il bianco e l’ocra per le parti alte, nelle volte e nella cupola dando così maggiore luminosità complessiva e per contrapporsi agli altari laterali molto scuri. Pochi gli affreschi quattrocenteschi rimasti e realizzati da Giacomo da Recanati. Nell'abside uno stupendo coro ligneo costruito nel 1623. Dal Chiostro di Sant'Agostino, che si trova sul fianco destro della chiesa, è visibile il campanile reso celebre dalla poesia leopardiana “Il passero solitario”. Built in the Gothic style with the convent of the Hermits of St. Augustine, towards the end of 1200. As always, it was the subject of several interventions in the course of its history. The facade, remained incomplete, presents a stone portal d'Istria in whose bezel is the statue of St. Augustine. The interior looks like a large nave covered by a heavy vault. Recent conservation interventions with use of light colors such as white and ocher for the upper parts, in the times and in the dome thereby providing greater overall brightness and in opposition to the very dark side altars. A few of the fifteenth-century frescoes left and made by Giacomo da Recanati. In the apse a beautiful wooden choir built in 1623. From the Cloister of St. Augustine, which is located on the right side of the church, the bell tower made famous by Leopardi's poetry is visible "The thrush."

Il portale in pietra d'Istria (1485) è di Giuliano da Maiano, mentre l'interno fu rifatto alla fine del XVII secolo su disegno del Ferdinando Galli da Bibbiena, con pale realizzate da Pomarancio, Pier Simone Fanelli, Felice Damiani e residui di affreschi di Giacomo da Recanati. Sulla facciata con decorazioni in cotto della Chiesa spicca il portale in pietra d'Istria del XV secolo. The Church and the convent of Sant'Agostino were built in the 13th century but remodeled in the following centuries. On the facade with terracotta decorations of the Church stands the portal in Istrian stone from the 15th century.
