★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesetta è meravigliosa. Sarà per le sue dimensioni ridotte, ma è davvero molto accogliente. È un luogo che conserva la storia: lì vicino, ancora prima che esistesse la chiesa, passò santa Brigida di Svezia (fuori si trova un cippo commemorativo); la chiesa venne eretta quale cappella votiva dopo che il santo salvò il popolo dalla peste; il popolo ortonese vi si riunisce non solo per celebrare la ricorrenza di san Rocco, ma anche quella di santa Rita da Cascia. Si potrebbe dire che qui si incontrano storia, tradizione e folklore. Consiglio caldamente l'ingresso, sia per pregare che per ammirare i due affreschi presenti ai lati dell'unica navata.
The church is wonderful. It may be due to its small size, but it is really very welcoming. It is a place that preserves history: nearby, even before the church existed, Saint Bridget of Sweden passed (there is a memorial stone outside); the church was erected as a votive chapel after the saint saved the people from the plague; the people of Ortona meet there not only to celebrate the anniversary of San Rocco, but also that of Santa Rita da Cascia. It could be said that history, tradition and folklore meet here. I highly recommend the entrance, both to pray and to admire the two frescoes on the sides of the single nave.
