Nicola di Bari, però la terza foto che viene associata alla panoramica esterna è della chiesa madre di Saponara, ripresa dagli argini che contengono il torrente Carda', la cui piazza antistante da qualche anno é stata scempiata con aggiunte e riqualificazioni improprie. Inoltre Saponara non è quella del secolo scorso, sono stati eseguiti restyling non consoni con danni paesaggistici evidenti che coglie chi, per indole, indaga il com'eravamo per attualizzare il passato e storicizzare il presente, sempre nell'ottica di evitare qualsiasi cesura volta ad interrompere l'unicum che ci identifica: l'oggi si innesta nel passato per programmare il futuro, evitando di ripetere gli errori e gli orrori già perpetrati. Mette tristezza la poco volontà di avvalorare questi beni. The church was built in the 19th century on the remains of a sacred structure. The church today is in good condition. But very stripped of all beauty. The unwillingness to validate these assets is saddened.
