★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nel primo decennio del Seicento fu eretto l’oratorio di Fontanafredda dove fu posta un’immagine della Vergine Maria già dipinta su un muretto di una maestà e ritenuta miracolosa, dopo la guarigione di una bambina sordomuta alla quale la Vergine era apparsa. L’oratorio fin dalla sua fondazione fu frequentatissimo. I fedeli con il tempo lo preferirono alla lontana e scomoda chiesa parrocchiale. Per questo motivo, all’inizio del secolo XX, per le precarie condizioni della chiesa di San Giovanni, la sede parrocchiale fu definitivamente trasferita nell’oratorio, sancendo così una situazione ormai secolare.
In the first decade of the seventeenth century the oratory of Fontanafredda was erected where an image of the Virgin Mary was placed already painted on a low wall of a majesty and considered miraculous, after the healing of a deaf-mute girl to whom the Virgin appeared. The oratory since its foundation was very popular. The faithful preferred it over time to the distant and inconvenient parish church. For this reason, at the beginning of the 20th century, due to the precarious conditions of the church of San Giovanni, the parish seat was definitively transferred to the oratory, thus sanctioning a now secular situation.
