★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa davvero maestosa sia per la posizione dominante che per la facciata romanico-gotica, che per l'interno composto da cinque navate completamente ricoperte da affreschi.
Un edificio dalla storia antica (è citato indirettamente già nel 1039) che partendo da una sola navata orientata est-ovest è stata poi ampliata e trasformata grazie alla benessere che Baceno ricavava dai commerci: non a caso sulla facciata è ritratto un grande S. Cristoforo (del 1542), patrono di quei mercanti che collegavano il Ducato di Milano alla Svizzera Poco sotto la chiesa venivano anche riscossi i dazi . Da non perdere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maestosa chiesa monumentale costruita su uno sperone di roccia all'ingresso della cittadina di baceno. Prime notizie della costruzione si hanno a partire dall'anno 1000 e poi ampliata e modificata nel corso del tempo. La facciata, in stile romanico è abbellita da un grande murales rappresentante S. Cristoforo, ma il meglio lo propone al suo interno: affreschi, decorazioni e struttura meritano, anche per lo stato di conservazione, una visita. Consigliatissima.
Majestic monumental church built on a rock spur at the entrance of the town of Baceno. The first news of the construction dates back to the year 1000 and then expanded and modified over time. The façade, in Romanesque style, is embellished by a large mural representing St. Cristoforo, but the best is proposed in its interior: frescoes, decorations and structure deserve, also for the state of preservation, a visit. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ la chiesa é davvero fantastica in una posizione incantevole ..meta di tanti turisti stranieri come ho potuto constatare di persona..sia l esterno che l interno in ottime condizioni di conservazione ...peccato che proprio accanto alla dimora credo dei sacerdoti ci sia un bagno pubblico in condizioni davvero pessime ...giro spesso anche all estero ..mai visto una cosa del genere ..
the church is really fantastic in an enchanting position ..meta of many foreign tourists as I have been able to personally see .. both the exterior and the interior are in excellent condition ... too bad that right next to the priest's residence there is a public toilet in really bad conditions ... I often go around abroad too .. never seen such a thing ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima. Posizione fantastica su uno sperone di roccia. Scenografica la scalinata e il San Cristoforo dipinto sulla facciata. L'interno comprende notevoli affreschi specie sulle volte. Molto bella la crocifissione sulla parete destra dell'altare e le storie della Vergine.
Bellissimi i resti delle vetrate cinquecentesche. .
Gorgeous. Fantastic location on a rock outcrop. The staircase and the San Cristoforo painted on the facade are spectacular. The interior includes remarkable frescoes, especially on the vaults. The crucifixion on the right wall of the altar and the stories of the Virgin are very beautiful.
The remains of the sixteenth-century stained glass windows are beautiful. .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't get the vibe here. but the morceleum looks pretty at night looking through gate but not worth making detour for. round the left of entrance through a tunnel is a good 1hour return walk to the gorge dont miss the left turn as we did and end up at bottom of valley
