★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima e imponente Chiesa in stile barocco , costruita dopo il terribile terremoto del 1693 della val di Noto che distrusse Occhiola` , infatti per la costruzione della chiesa venne riutilizzato del materiale di Occhiola` e anche alcuni dipinti per adornare la chiesa che oggi domina la splendida piazza di Grammichele . La chiesa madre chiamata anche Matrice , fu` dedicata al santo Michele arcangelo e a santa Caterina d'Alessandria come patroni e protettori del paese
Beautiful and imposing Baroque style church, built after the terrible earthquake of 1693 in the Val di Noto that destroyed Occhiola`, in fact for the construction of the church the material of Occhiola` was reused and also some paintings to adorn the church that today dominates the splendid square of Grammichele. The mother church also called Matrice, was dedicated to Saint Michael the archangel and to Saint Catherine of Alexandria as patrons and protectors of the town

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa maestosa, arricchita con bassorilievi, statue e quadri molto belli, all'interno sono presenti dei giochi luce prodotti dalle finestre ideate perfettamente. Mi ha colpito molto il soffitto, dipinto con colori molto chiari e coordinati tra loro.
Majestic church, enriched with bas-reliefs, statues and very beautiful paintings, inside there are light effects produced by perfectly designed windows. I was very impressed by the ceiling, painted in very light colors and coordinated with each other.
