Soffitto ligneo non a cassoni ma a rilievi, è ricchissima di opere d'arte e di storia ma non e valorizzata affatto. Il portone intarsiato è bellissimo. Chiedete al bar adiacente per poterla visitare. P	Pierluigi Capotondi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccolo gioiello della Tuscia Questo stupendo gioiello architettonico, si trova nel centro storico, purtroppo non e’ mai stata troppo valorizzata, sia perche’ non ci sono grosse possibilita’ di parcheggio sia perche’spesso e’chiusa e i turisti mordi e fuggi fanno un giro al palazzo e se ne vanno!!!Le notizie storiche parlano di una chiesa gia’ esistente nel 1527 venne ristrutturata da Alessandro Farnese,con suggerimenti del Vignola,inoltre venne costruito un bellissimo convento per i Francescani che purtroppo venne abbattuto negli anni ’60 perche’ pericolante e per far spazio ad abitazioni private . Tornando alla storia della chiesa Odoardo Farnese successivamente, chiamo’Girolamo Rainaldi ad abbellire ulteriormente la chiesa che presenta una navata unica con 4 cappelle nei lati il maggiore pregio e’ lo stupendo soffitto a cassettoni con varie statue ancorate e varie strutture di legno della restrostante sacrestia,notevole il portale ligneo del 1564 opera di Gaspare di Giannelli di Ferrara, un pregevole crocefisso ligneo scolpito da Padre Vincenzo Pietrosanti da Bassiano donato nel 1662,poi ci sono dei pregevoli dipinti murali del pittore maceratese,Giuseppe Bastiani ,e recentemente durante dei lavori e’stata scoperta una pregevole opera di Annibale Carracci, da visitare assolutamente!
