★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La facciata principale è molto semplice con cornici in laterizio attorno al portale d'ingresso e alle tre finestre. L'interno è diviso in tre navate con tre altari. Essi sono tutti di ispirazione classica con capitelli decorati con festoni, colonne in stucco bianco e timpani spezzati.
 The main facade is very simple with brick frames around the entrance portal and the three windows. The interior is divided into three naves with three altars. They are all classically inspired with capitals decorated with festoons, columns in white stucco and broken gables.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sopresa!Una chiesa più antica di quel che sembra,con un valore storico notevole,in una posizione che oggi che passa quasi inosservata.
Interessante la porzione di muro visibilmente romanica, in blocchi squadrati ,in quella che, oggi, e' la fiancata ovest.
Ma, se le chiese antiche erano tutte "orientate",chi lo sa che anticamente questo fosse il fronte,tradizionalmente posto invece ad occidente.
E' comunque evidente che la chiesa abbia subito vari rimaneggiamenti.
Non ho ancora visto l'interno.
La Madonna del Maestro di Tressa,oggi esposta al museo dell'opera del Duomo,proviene inoltre da qui.
L'edificio sorgeva un tempo fuori dalla città,ma in posizione strategica sulla strada che conduceva da Siena a sud verso la Maremma,e anche verso la Montagnola, nei pressi del torrente Tressa
In epoca ancora più antica inoltre doveva forse essere presente in questo punto un luogo di culto precristiano dedicato alla Tressa,come divinità femminile locale.
Surprise! A church older than it seems, with a remarkable historical value, in a position that today goes almost unnoticed.
The visibly Romanesque portion of the wall, in square blocks, in what today is the west side is interesting.
But, if the ancient churches were all "oriented", who knows that in ancient times this was the front, traditionally placed instead in the west.
However, it is evident that the church has undergone various alterations.
I haven't seen the inside yet.
The Madonna del Maestro di Tressa, now on display in the Duomo opera museum, also comes from here.
The building once stood outside the city, but in a strategic position on the road that led from Siena south towards the Maremma, and also towards the Montagnola, near the Tressa stream.
In even more ancient times, a pre-Christian place of worship dedicated to the Tressa, as a local female divinity, must have been present in this point.
