★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non c'è molto da vedere esternamente di questa Chiesa abbandonata, ma fatevi raccontare dai Puteolani le sinistre leggende che la circondano. Questa Chiesa del 1600 fu costruita dai confratelli della buona morte.Si narra che una donna giunta nella Chiesa del Purgatorio, dopo la chiusura, abbia visto scheletri vestiti da confratelli pregare in coro e spaventata, una volta giunta a casa, sia morta a sua volta. In effetti scheletri dipinti sono presenti nella cripta e forse questo ha impressionato i visitatori.
There is not much to see outside of this abandoned church, but let the Puteolans tell you the sinister legends that surround it. This church of the 1600s was built by the confreres of the good death. It is said that a woman who came to the Church of Purgatory, after closing, saw skeletons dressed as brothers and prayed in a choir and, once she got home, she died in turn. .
