★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrivando a Serra de'Conti si entra in un centro in cui la dimensione temporale si ferma. Si entra in un mondo dove la storia passata si fa presente. Tanti sono i gioeilli artistici che è possibile ammirare, il primo che ho visto è stata la Chiesa di Santa Croce, risalente al XVI secolo. Entrando, colpisce la navata unica e colpiscono gli affreschi. In particolar modo, il viso della Madonna nell'affresco a sinistra, di una dolcezza e delicatezza tali da incantare chi lo guarda. Spettacolare!!
Ogni affresco è spiegato e documentato.
Ai lati dell'altare ci sono due passaggi, attraverso gli scalini si scende in una piccola cripta semicircolare illuminata da una finestrella.
Questa piccola Chiesa, nella sua semplicità doveva essere uno dei luoghi più suggestivi e mistici dell'epoca. Come dicevo, un gioiellino!
Arriving in Serra de'Conti you enter a center where the temporal dimension stops. You enter a world where past history becomes present. There are many artistic jewels that you can admire, the first one I saw was the Church of Santa Croce, dating back to the sixteenth century. Upon entering, you hit the single nave and the frescoes strike. In particular, the face of the Madonna in the fresco on the left, of such a sweetness and delicacy as to enchant those who look at it. Spectacular!!
Each fresco is explained and documented.
On the sides of the altar there are two passages, through the steps one descends into a small semicircular crypt illuminated by a small window.
This small church, in its simplicity must have been one of the most evocative and mystical places of the time. As I said, a gem!
