Restaurata abbastanza recentemente, mostra ancora sulle pareti esterne, segni di antichi affreschi, mentre al suo interno potrete vedere l'affresco del "Cristo della domenica", immagine di Gesù contornato dagli attrezzi di lavoro agricolo. Bello anche il campanile trecentesco. Ancient church (the first documents date back to 1196 ..) located in the center of Bormio. Recently restored, still shows signs of ancient frescoes on the external walls, while inside you can see the fresco of "Christ of Sunday", an image of Jesus surrounded by agricultural work tools. The fourteenth-century bell tower is also beautiful.

M	MARIO MORETTI ZOOM MASTER on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Durante una veloce visita al centro storico di Bormio partendo da Via Mila (SS38 dello Stelvio), abbiamo percorso Via San Vitale e quasi subito il nostro sguardo è stato attirato dall’alto campanile appuntito della omonima Chiesa. La collocazione dell’edificio di origini romaniche proprio all’incrocio di tre strade, consente di vederlo bene e apprezzarlo da tutti i lati. La facciata con un semplice portale marmoreo ad arco unico conserva alcuni ammirevoli affreschi. Il lato sinistro è caratterizzato dalla presenza dell’alto campanile. Il lato destro mostra un bell’affresco con Cristo Crocifisso. Sul retro un’abside che rivela l’origine romanica. L’interno è estremamente semplice e molto incline alla meditazione. In fondo alla navata si nota un tavolo di celebrazione ligneo con bassorilievi, davanti ad un altare di effetto, per via dell’illuminazione verde del tabernacolo, inserito in un insieme ligneo di antica fattura con sculture e bassorilievi. During a quick visit to the historic center of Bormio starting from Via Mila (SS38 of the Stelvio), we walked along Via San Vitale and almost immediately our eyes were drawn to the tall pointed bell tower of the homonymous Church. The location of the Romanesque building right at the intersection of three streets allows you to see it well and appreciate it from all sides. The facade with a simple marble portal with a single arch retains some admirable frescoes. The left side is characterized by the presence of the tall bell tower. The right side shows a beautiful fresco with the Crucified Christ. On the back an apse that reveals the Romanesque origin. The interior is extremely simple and very prone to meditation. At the end of the nave there is a wooden celebration table with bas-reliefs, in front of an effect altar, due to the green lighting of the tabernacle, inserted in a wooden set of ancient workmanship with sculptures and bas-reliefs.
