★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa di San Nicola venne edificata per commissione dei Padri Agostiniani Scalzi, che vennero a Saluzzo nel 1628 per fronteggiare l'avanzare dell’eresia calvinista. Questi, trovando una chiesa troppo modesta, si rivolsero al grande architetto ducale Amedeo di Castellamonte per costruirne una nuova. L'opera iniziò a partire dal 1651 e terminò nel 1673.
 The Church of San Nicola was built for the commission of the Discalced Augustinian Fathers, who came to Saluzzo in 1628 to face the advance of the Calvinist heresy. These, finding a too modest church, turned to the great ducal architect Amedeo di Castellamonte to build a new one. The work began in 1651 and ended in 1673.
