★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (Wihipedia) La primitiva chiesa sorgeva in località San Martino nei pressi dell'antico cimitero. Nel 1840 fu spostata ed edificata nel luogo su cui attualmente sorge. Completamente distrutta durante la seconda guerra mondiale, fu riedificata seguendo fedelmente il precedente progetto ottocentesco.
L'edificio presenta la facciata a capanna preceduta da un loggiato a tre fornici. L'interno è ad un'unica navata con due altari laterali. Nell'abside è un affresco raffigurante Gesù Crocifisso, la Madonna e San Giovanni eseguito fra il 1957 e il 1968 da Pietro Annigoni. Accanto all'ingresso, sulla sinistra, si segnala inoltre il fonte battesimale realizzato in pietra.
(Wihipedia) The primitive church stood in the locality of San Martino near the ancient cemetery. In 1840 it was moved and built in the place where it currently stands. Completely destroyed during the Second World War, it was rebuilt faithfully following the previous nineteenth-century project.
The building has a gabled facade preceded by a loggia with three arches. The interior has a single nave with two side altars. In the apse there is a fresco depicting Jesus Crucified, the Madonna and San Giovanni executed between 1957 and 1968 by Pietro Annigoni. Next to the entrance, on the left, there is also the baptismal font made of stone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccolo ma importante gioiello incastonato nel bel paesaggio di Castagno d'Andrea. Stupenda crocifissione di Pietro Annigoni con Madonna e San Giovanni (1958). Raccomandata la partecipazione ai bellissimi concerti organizzati all'interno della chiesa nel periodo estivo.
Small but important jewel set in the beautiful landscape of Castagno d'Andrea. Superb crucifixion by Pietro Annigoni with Madonna and San Giovanni (1958). Participation in the beautiful concerts organized inside the church during the summer is recommended.
