Fu costruita per ex voto dai pescatori trapanesi. La chiesa si presenta senza l'antica facciata e necessita di intervento di restauro. Church with a single hall located near the Ligny tower. Invece è una delle chiese più antiche di trapani ed è stata sempre al centro delle vicende antiche. Basta cercare su internet ma anche vedendo la sua posizione è facile dedurre il suo ruolo antico e centrale nella vita trapanese che si svolgeva molto intorno alla pesca del corallo ed alla sua lavorazione. È un peccato che per ora sia così trascurata sia come edificio che per le sue memorie. Il posto è incantevole abbiamo una spiaggetta vicino ed altri punti molto belli dove fare magnifici bagni in un acqua pulitissima sempre nonostante ci troviamo in centro città. Un altra caratteristica è che visto la conformazione della costa qui da un lato o da un altro c'è sempre ridosso sia dal maestrale che dallo scirocco.
