★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si tratta di un monumento che racconta la lunga storia di Ascoli già solo osservando le sue mura esterne, grazie alle sopravvivenza che vi si leggono. Un tempo tempio romano, nel medioevo fu trasformato nella chiesa che vediamo oggi. All'interno alcuni affreschi tra cui spicca la predicazione di San Francesco agli uccelli. Purtroppo non sempre è possibile l'ingresso.
It is a monument that tells the long history of Ascoli already just by observing its external walls, thanks to survival that you read. Once a Roman temple, in the Middle Ages it was transformed into the church we see today. Inside there are some frescoes among which the preaching of St. Francis to the birds stands out. Unfortunately entry is not always possible.

La facciata é molto particolare... Città del travertino.
Purtroppo non posso dare più di una stellina perché trovata chiusa nel tardo pomeriggio di sabato, sarà per la prossima.

The church of San Gregorio magno is located in the historic center of Ascoli Piceno.
The facade is very particular ... City of travertine.
Unfortunately I can not give more than one star because found closed in the late afternoon of Saturday, it will be for the next one.
