D	Davide Pizzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di San Giorgio Martire, ricordata da alcuni autori con il titolo di San Gregorio, situata nella frazione di Seio di Sarnonico, viene eretta nelle forme primigenie probabilmente tra il XIII ed il XIV secolo; la prima menzione dell'edificio infatti risale al 1387, quando il cardinale Nicolò da Venezia rilasciò l'indulgenza a favore del suo restauro. Fu rinnovata nel 1558 e restaurata sia nel 1911 sia negli anni ottanta del XX secolo. In quest'ultimo caso fu rifatto il tetto ed eretta l'intercapedine. Il portale è rinascimentale ornato nella parte superiore da una bifora gotica. L'interno presenta un unico altare in stile barocco e in legno dorato e intarsiato. La sua pala raffigura la Madonna mentre dall'alto osserva il combattimento di san Giorgio contro un drago. Ai lati dell'altare sono presenti le statue di san Rocco e di san Lorenzo. Nelle due nicchie sono poste una statua della Madonna e un'altra raffigurante san Giuseppe che tiene in braccio Gesù bambino. Il campanile fu costruito nel 1773 e restaurato nel 1808. The church of San Giorgio Martire, mentioned by some authors with the title of San Gregorio, located in the hamlet of Seio di Sarnonico, was built in the primitive forms probably between the XIII and XIV centuries; the first mention of the building dates back to 1387, when Cardinal Nicolò da Venezia released an indulgence in favor of its restoration. It was renewed in 1558 and restored it in 1911, both in the eighties of the twentieth century. In the latter case the roof was redone and the interspace was erected. The portal is Renaissance decorated at the top with a Gothic mullioned window. The interior has a unique altar in Baroque style and in gilded and inlaid wood. Its shovel depicts the Madonna while Elevated observes the combat of St. George against a dragon. On the sides of the altar there are the statues of St. Roch and St. Lawrence. In the two niches they are placed a statue of the Madonna and another depicting St. Joseph who is holding baby Jesus. The bell tower was built in 1773 and restored in 1808.
