★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa interessantissima, soprattutto per la sua storia. Fondata nel periodo compreso tra i secoli VIII e IX, ricostruita nella seconda metà del XIV secolo, riedificata ancora nel 1637, oggi presenta un interno in stile ligure settecentesco. Rilevanti le opere pittoriche del Galeotti, l'organo e la relativa cantoria barocca. Curioso il fatto che il quartiere di Rupinaro, un tempo, rappresentava la periferia del borgo di Chiavari, perché ubicato all'esterno delle mura della cittadella.
 Very interesting church, especially for its history. Founded in the period between the eighth and ninth centuries, rebuilt in the second half of the fourteenth century, rebuilt again in 1637, today it has an interior in eighteenth-century Ligurian style. The paintings by Galeotti, the organ and the relative baroque choir loft are of particular importance. Curious is the fact that the Rupinaro district once represented the outskirts of the village of Chiavari, because it was located outside the walls of the citadel.

Purtroppo non posso dare più di una stellina perché trovata chiusa durante la mia visita di agosto. Sará per la prossima.
The church of San Giacomo di Rupinaro is located in the historic center of Chiavari.
Unfortunately I cannot give more than one star because it was found closed during my August visit. It will be for the next one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Church dates from the 11th century. It was rebuilt in 1637 and the present facade was added in 1937. Can feel a little gloomy inside due to lack of natural light.
