★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chi percorre la provinciale per Tolmezzo lungo il lago di Cazzo può vedere chiaramente la Chiesetta di San Candido su un terrazzamento sotto la falesia di Cesclans. L'edificio, che risale al XIV secolo, fu costruito in stile romanico ma, a metà del secolo successivo, fu ristrutturato in stile gotico carinziano.
L'edificio aveva una torre campanaria che oggi non esiste più sostituita nel 1928 da un piccolo campanile a vela.
La chiesa vale una visita sia per vedere l'edificio da vicino che per il contesto molto speciale in cui si trova: quasi a strapiombo sopra il lago e sotto la parete verticale della falesia che viene usata come palestra di roccia.
Those who follow the provincial road to Tolmezzo along the Lago di Cazzo can clearly see the small church of San Candido on a terrace below the Cesclans cliff. The building, which dates back to the fourteenth century, was built in Romanesque style but, in the middle of the following century, it was restored in the Carinthian Gothic style.
The building had a bell tower that today no longer exists, replaced in 1928 by a small bell tower.
The church is worth a visit both to see the building up close and for the very special context in which it is located: almost overhanging the lake and under the vertical wall of the cliff that is used as a climbing wall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Splendida Chiesetta votiva in stile romanico e gotico ( fasi successive ) .
Purtroppo danneggiata piu' volte dai terremoti ( 1928 e 1976 ) in origine disponeva anche di un bel un campanile romanico , purtroppo non piu' esistente ; dopo gli ultimi terremoti e successivi periodi d' abbandono e' stata poi sempre restaurata con cura .
Poco distanti alcune palestre di roccia .
Purtroppo spesso improvvidi visitatori , si fermano a bivaccare senza rispetto per il luogo , lasciando le tracce del loro poco decoroso passaggio .

Unfortunately damaged several times by earthquakes (1928 and 1976) it originally also had a beautiful Romanesque bell tower, unfortunately no longer in existence; after the last earthquakes and successive periods of abandonment it was then always carefully restored.
Not far away are some rock gyms.
Unfortunately, often impromptu visitors stop to bivouack without respect for the place, leaving traces of their decorous passage.
