Detta anche “chiesa del Purgatorio” perché nel 1830, anno della sua fondazione, un’epidemia di colera fece molte vittime tra i bambini del luogo. In seguito al sisma del 2009 che le procurò importanti lesioni, ne è stata stabilita la chiusura al culto che perdura tutt’oggi.
