★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa della Madonna della Toricella, in pratica è la chiesa del cimitero di Padenghe. Si può vedere dalle finestre, la Madonna, in quanto purtroppo si tiene chiusa perché ci sono stati i ladri.
The church of the Madonna della Toricella, in practice, is the church of the Padenghe cemetery. You can see from the windows, the Madonna, as unfortunately it is kept closed because there were thieves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non è stato possibile visitare l'interno di questa chiesa cimiteriale perché chiusa (domenica pomeriggio) e non posso dare più di tre stelle.
Doveva essere un luogo di culto importante, sulla strada che da Padenghe porta a Soiano in frazione Torricella. È noto come Santuario della Beata Vergine Maria, detto anche della “Torricella”.
Ho apprezzato l'elegante protiro colonnato che precede la facciata a capanna, arricchita da un bel rosone centrale. Il tempio fu eretto agli inizi del XVI secolo per ricordare l’apparizione della Vergine Maria ad un giovane muratore del paese (o, secondo altre fonti, ad una ragazza muta) nonostante inizialmente non vi fosse alcun permesso da parte delle autorità ecclesiastiche.
Nel 1812, nell′orto che fiancheggiava la Chiesa, fu costruito l′attuale cimitero, dopo l'editto napoleonico di Saint Cloud (Décret Impérial sur les Sépultures) del 1804.
It was not possible to visit the inside of this cemetery church because it was closed (Sunday afternoon) and I cannot give more than three stars.
It must have been an important place of worship, on the road that leads from Padenghe to Soiano in the hamlet of Torricella. It is known as the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as the "Torricella".
I appreciated the elegant colonnaded porch that precedes the gabled façade, enriched by a beautiful central rose window. The temple was erected in the early 16th century to commemorate the apparition of the Virgin Mary to a young local mason (or, according to other sources, to a dumb girl) although initially there was no permission from the ecclesiastical authorities.
In 1812, the current cemetery was built in the garden that flanked the Church, after the Napoleonic edict of Saint Cloud (Décret Impérial sur les Sépultures) of 1804.
