★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La piccola chiesa dedicata alla Madonna della Mercede sorge ai piedi del castello di Sperlinga. Non si hanno documenti certi riguardanti la costruzione della chiesetta. Dall'analisi costruttiva si può ipotizzare che la sua costruzione potrebbe risalire al diaciassettesimo secolo.
Al suo interno conserva un crocifisso ligneo del XVI sec. proveniente dalla chiesa del Castello e due statue della Madonna della Mercede co-patrona di Sperlinga e vero luogo di “culto” degli Sperlinghesi.. Si pensa infatti che a volere la sua costruzione sono stati i confrati dell'omonima confraternita. Questa chiesa costituisce soprattutto un raccolto e intimo “santuario” dedicato alla Madonna della Mercede festeggiata la IV domenica di settembre.
 The small church dedicated to the Madonna della Mercede stands at the foot of the Sperlinga castle. There are no certain documents regarding the construction of the church. From the constructive analysis we can hypothesize that its construction could date back to the fifth century.
Inside it preserves a wooden crucifix of the sixteenth century. coming from the church of the Castle and two statues of the Madonna della Mercede co-patron of Sperlinga and true place of "cult" of the Sperlinghesi .. It is thought that it was the confreres of the homonymous brotherhood who wanted its construction. This church constitutes above all a harvest and intimate "sanctuary" dedicated to the Madonna della Mercede celebrated on the fourth Sunday of September.
