★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa del Purgatorio si trova sopra la Piazza principale. Fu intitolata alle anime del Purgatorio perché dei terremotati di Rocca Angitola, in cui c'era una chiesa così intitolata, la vollero chiamare così come la loro chiesa del paese. È chiamata dai Pizzitani "chiesa dei morti" perché la Chiesa anticamente era gestita da alcuni Basiliani, di cui in una fossa di tumulazione sotto la Chiesa, si trovano i loro corpi. La chiesa condivide la facciata con l'Arciconfraternita di Maria SS. delle Grazie. All'interno si trovano diversi affreschi e opere pittoriche e statue lignee di notevole pregio come la statua della Madonna delle Grazie e del Sacro Cuore di Gesù.
The church of Purgatory is located above the main square. It was named after the souls of Purgatory because of the earthquake victims of Rocca Angitola, where there was a church so named, they wanted to call it as their church in the town. It is called by the Pizzitani "church of the dead" because the Church was formerly run by some Basilians, whose bodies are found in a burial pit under the Church. The church shares the facade with the Archconfraternity of Maria SS. of the Graces. Inside there are several frescoes and paintings and valuable wooden statues such as the statue of the Madonna delle Grazie and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Про саму споруду нічого не скажу, крім того що виглядає красиво і просто, екскурсавода не було, приїхали за сувенирами і за морозива ом "Тартюффо", в Пізно його готують за стародавнім рецептом і воно найсмачніше тут. З цікавинок є череп з кістками, а чиї вони - треба погугліти ...
