★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Viene chiamata “moderna” perché molte delle ristrutturazioni che questa chiesa di Cividale del Friuli ha subito sono relativamente recenti: alcune avvennero nel Settecento – il portale, ad esempio, fu seguito durante la prima metà del XVIII secolo – ed all’inizio dell’Ottocento: dopo di questi la chiesa assunse all’incirca il suo aspetto attuale. Gli ultimi riarrangiamenti risalgono agli inizi del Novecento: furono ad esempio murate due grandi finestre della facciata, limitando così la presenza della luce all’interno dell’edificio"
