I proprietari, nonno, figlio e nipoti sono molto disponibili a spiegare la tecnica che usano e mostrano il vecchio forno tradizionale in uso fino agli anni '90. Possedere a casa un pezzo prodotto in questa bottega non é un privilegio di tutti. Nei miei viaggi in vari paesi del medio oriente, mi é capitato di vedere ceramiche molto simili, con gli stessi colori e forme. In Sicilia, crogiolo di culture, sono confluite influenze arrivate da tutto il bacino mediterraneo e questa ceramica che ricorda un passato lontano, ne é una testimonianza concreta. La patina di vernice esterna è stata passata irregolarmente e non copre tutta la superficie dei due contenitori: sia l'aspetto che la funzione sono compromessi, i colori appaiono sbiaditi e non posso utilizzare la lattiera per liquidi, perché l'argilla assorbirebbe troppo. Nel porta agli, il coperchio non combacia con il vaso, il vaso per il latte è scrostato in due punti(non c'entra la spedizione). Penso che, se fossi stata in negozio, avrei avuto ben altra tipologia di prodotto, a fronte del prezzo pagato. Mai più. In the door, the lid does not match the jar, the milk jar is peeled in two places (shipping has nothing to do with it). I think that, if I had been in the shop, I would have had a very different type of product, given the price paid. Never again.
