F	Federico Slaviero on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Per quanto molti si fermino ai laghi, Avigliana possiede un bellissimo centro storico, ricco di attività artigianali e di storia. Durante una giornata di sole ha un fascino particolare. Da qui si può anche arrivare ai ruderi del castello. Se siete al lago e volete allungare la passeggiata è un percorso che consiglio. Unica nota: un po' sporche le strade, qualcuno fa poca attenzione al proprio cane. Although many stop at the lakes, Avigliana has a beautiful old town, rich in crafts and history. On a sunny day it has a special charm. From here you can also get to the ruins of the castle. If you are at the lake and want to take a longer walk, this is a route that I recommend. C	Cristina Cremonino on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Passeggiata gradevolissima all'interno del Borgo Nuovo, edificato intorno alla metà dell'XI secolo per volere della marchesa Adelaide di Susa, moglie di Oddone conte di Moriana ( figlio di Umberto Biancamano, capostipite di casa Savoia). Il borgo nacque appunto per unire il castello risalente al X secolo, costruito dal marchese Arduino il Glabro, e il Borgo Vecchio posto più in basso. Pregevole esempio di architettura medievale, è ben conservato e curato. Dalla piazza del Conte Rosso ( appellativo dato ad Amedeo VII di Savoia), che fu centro organizzativo e sede di mercati e fiere, si possono raggiungere, dopo una breve camminata, le rovine del castello, situato in posizione scenografica. Il centro storico, è di origine medievale, i portici della Piazza Conte Rosso, sono in buono stato e riportano indietro nel tempo. Il castello, che sovrasta il centro del paese, è purtroppo solo un rudere. Bella la chiesa di origini antiche nel centro storico.
