Il paese è molto carino e vivo. Non è il classico paesino del sud "morto". Saracena è un paese vivo anzi vivissimo. D'estate organizzano tantissimi eventi e spesso ci si ritova in piazza. Il Bar Celia si trova in Piazza Mazziotti, secondo me la piazza più carina e caratteristica del paese !!! è stata da poco sistemata e durante gli eventi diventa una zona pedonale. Il Bar Celia è molto accogliente con i tanti tavolini in piazza dove si ha la possibilità di ascoltare anche della buona musica dal vivo durante gli eventi (spessissimo). Inoltre la posizione lo rende un luogo rilassante ma allo stesso tempo divertente (tavolo da ping pong, calcio balilla etc...) I Proprietari, marito e moglie, sono due persone deliziose, sono simpatici e molto cordiali, hanno un figlio che è simpaticissimo, sempre allegro. Inoltre fanno la granita al Limone (con i limoni coltivati da loro stessi) che è la più buona che abbia mai mangiato vi consiglio assolutamente di provarla. Per non parlare del caffè freddo Shakerato, il top.
Non vedo l'ora di tornare a Saracena e al Bar Celia.
This summer I was in this beautiful country, Saracena, in the province of Cosenza.
The village is very pretty and alive. It is not the classic southern "dead" village. Saracena is a lively country indeed alive. In the summer they organize many events and often they are held in the square. The Bar Celia is located in Piazza Mazziotti, in my opinion the most charming and characteristic square of the country !!! it has recently been remodeled and becomes a pedestrian zone during the events. The Celia Bar is very welcoming with many tables in the square where you can also listen to good live music during the events (very often). Furthermore the location makes it a relaxing but at the same time fun place (ping pong table, table football etc ...) The owners, husband and wife, are two lovely people, they are nice and very friendly, they have a son who is very nice , always cheerful. They also make lemon granita (with lemons grown by themselves) which is the best I've ever eaten, so I recommend you try it. Not to mention the Shakerato cold coffee, the top.
I can't wait to return to Saracena and Bar Celia.
