La struttura originaria risale al VI secolo D.C. ma successivamente ha subito notevoli trasformazioni e restauri ben visibili anche dai profani.

La piazza su cui e’affacciata poi e’ spettacolare.. con i vari stili architettonici che si sono succeduti nei secoli,il centro storico di chiusi e’ un vero piccolo gioiello, il vecchio pozzo , i palazzi .. il museo archeologico etrusco e lungo il corso , ma anche nelle strade limitrofe, tanti caffè e bar con tavolini fuori e dentro per godere delle bellezze del centro,
