★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questo luogo si trova a Castelvetrano in via Giacomo Serpotta, nelle immediate vicinanze del convento dei Cappuccini, a cui è annesso.
Si trova sotto il livello della strada, al disotto del medesimo convento. Secondo un'usanza tipicamente cappuccina i defunti venivano sottoposti ad un processo di mummificazione ed esposti alla vista dei fedeli, insieme alle ossa. Non appaia troppo macabra questa pratica, l'intento era di sottoporre alla vista dei fedeli il simbolo della caducità di questa vita, e di indurre i medesimi ad una riflessione sull'aldilà.
Attualmente tuttavia, le ossa ed i resti dei corpi sono stati completamente rimossi da questo posto, e risultano visibili soltanto alcuni loculi ed alcune nicchie.
Qui era stato conservato anche il corpo di Fra Pietro da Mazara, il cui Crocifisso miracoloso è conservato ancora al piano superiore, nella chiesa dei Cappuccini.
 This place is located in Castelvetrano in Via Giacomo Serpotta, in the immediate vicinity of the Capuchin convent, to which it is annexed.
It is located below street level, below the same convent. According to a typically Capuchin custom the dead were subjected to a mummification process and exposed to the sight of the faithful, together with the bones. This practice does not appear too gruesome, the intent was to subject the faithful to the symbol of the transience of this life, and to induce them to reflect on the afterlife.
Currently, however, the bones and remains of the bodies have been completely removed from this place, and only a few niches and niches are visible.
Here the body of Fra Pietro da Mazara was also preserved, whose miraculous Crucifix is still preserved on the upper floor, in the Capuchin church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We walked half an hour in the heat only to arrive and be told it's closed for maintenance reasons until God knows when. It was a big disappointment and update on their website would be useful but alas this information isn't mentioned. In a nutshell, don't waste your time going there.
