The most beautiful part of the castle is the view of the vineyard. Wonderful. Only a small part of the castle has remained but retains its charm.

Il castello ha una storia molto interessante e attualmente è usato dal comune per l'organizzazione di eventi turistici e culturali. Si gode di una magnifica vista sulla val di Cembra e sul corso dell' Avisio. Interesting very well kept ruins surrounded by beautiful vineyards and apple orchards. D	Daniel Juric on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nachts schön beleuchtet, ein super schöner Blick, wenn man in der Villa Scalco, die direkt daneben ist, Urlaub gemacht hat und abends da sitzt und die Burg beleuchtet wird. Auch wenn es nur noch eine Wand ist, sieht sie sagenhaft aus. Ein Vorbeischauen ist das definitiv Wert. Ich würde es aber eher bei Dämmerung oder Dunkelheit empfehlen. Da kommt der Stein noch besser zum Ausdruck Beautifully lit at night, a super nice view, if you in Villa Scalco, which is right next door, holiday and evening sitting there and the castle is illuminated. Even if it's just a wall, it looks amazing. A stop by is definitely worth it. I would rather recommend it at dusk or in the dark. The stone is even better expressed

Piacevole la passeggiata, molto facile adatta a tutti, che da Cembra porta al castello sul sentiero del Dűrer. Consigliato. I didn't know it existed, but I must say it was a nice discovery. These are some ruins of the ancient castle immersed in a beautiful location. The walk is pleasant, very easy and suitable for everyone, which leads from Cembra to the castle on the Dűrer path. Recommended.
P	Passi Sospesi Stefania on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dopo la visita in cantina Barone a Prato a Piazzo di Segonzano, siamo saliti al castello di Segonzano raggiungibile a piedi dalla cantina in una breve e piacevole passeggiata. I ruderi del castello medievole sono posti su uno sperone roccioso e sorvegliano i vigneti e meleti della Valle di Cembra. Risalgono al 1200 e al tempo la fortezza ebbe molto importanza in quanto posizionata in un punto strategico. Oggi è rimasto poco, ma le due torri, illuminate di notte, sono molto suggestive. Bellissima la vista dal castello verso valle. La Cantina Barone a Prato ha ideato la degustazione vino in versione picnic. Potrete degustare vino e prodotti locali proprio fra i ruderi del castello in una bellissima terrazza panoramica!! Al tramonto l'atmosfera è magica! After visiting the Barone winery in Prato in Piazzo di Segonzano, we went up to the castle of Segonzano which can be reached on foot from the winery in a short and pleasant walk. The ruins of the medieval castle are placed on a rocky spur and watch over the vineyards and apple orchards of the Cembra Valley. They date back to 1200 and at the time the fortress was very important as it was positioned in a strategic point. Today there is little left, but the two towers, illuminated at night, are very impressive. The view from the castle towards the valley is beautiful. Cantina Barone in Prato has created the wine tasting in a picnic version. You can taste wine and local products right among the ruins of the castle in a beautiful panoramic terrace !! At sunset the atmosphere is magical!

Per arrivarci, malgrado una stradina asfaltata ci passi a fianco, conviene andare a piedi perché non c'è possibilità di parcheggiare nei dintorni. Il rudere, situato su una roccia, è aggirabile tramite un sentiero che permette di accedere, in pochi minuti, ad un paio di punti panoramici sui vigneti circostanti, il torrente e il piccolo e caratteristico borgo di Piazzo poco distante. Consigliata una passeggiata in zona con una puntatina a vedere il ponte romano, il ponte di cantilaga, la falesia con ponte tibetano sull'Avisio, l'antica chiesetta sul colle vicino e se il clima lo consente una salita fino alle piramidi di Segonzano There is not much left of the castle. To get there, despite a paved road you pass by, it is better to go on foot because there is no possibility to park nearby. The ruin, located on a rock, can be bypassed via a path that allows you to access, in a few minutes, a couple of panoramic points of the surrounding vineyards, the stream and the small and characteristic village of Piazzo not far away. A walk in the area is recommended with a detour to see the Roman bridge, the cantilaga bridge, the cliff with the Tibetan bridge over the Avisio, the ancient church on the nearby hill and if the weather permits a climb up to the pyramids of Segonzano.

Poi se si va fuori stagione con pochissimi visitatori ancora meglio. Consigliatissimo... Pochi parcheggi anzi zero The castle is a ruin but going inside and knowing that Durer painted a watercolor of the castle is exciting .. Then if you go out of season with very few visitors even better. Highly recommended ... Few parking spaces or rather zero
G	Giovanni Noè on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Del castello è rimasto molto poco ma trovandosi su un’altura da lì è possibile ammirare il panorama circostante con le montagne ed i vigneti. Per quanto riguarda il castello in sè è rimasta in piedi una piccola torre che è ben conservata ed è possibile entrarci per scattare delle foto. Very little remains of the castle but being on a hill from there it is possible to admire the surrounding landscape with the mountains and vineyards. As for the castle itself, a small tower remains standing which is well preserved and it is possible to enter it to take pictures.
