The first structure was elevated on the edge of the first built nucleus, probably in the Lombard period; nevertheless it is permissible to affirm that the current Castle was rebuilt and enlarged, above the previous building, in the Norman and Aragonese period. The most recent planimetric transformations are to be placed in the fifteenth century. The unmistakable sign of the Norman period is the square plan; the building has four towers, three of which are partly embankment and partly cylindrical and one, smaller, cylindrical. The facades of the castle have several windows, which alternate with balconies. The entrance is characterized by a pointed arch in stone, supported by two stone slabs, with lateral stone columns. Once inside there is a courtyard, from which you can access the residential floor through a staircase. Its structure has taken on the appearance of the surrounding buildings so as to be hardly recognizable, since the changes made over time have made it perfectly homogeneous to the neighboring building structures. From the fortress it was transformed into a baronial palace around the fifteenth century, to arrive to the present day completely transformed into a private residence, parceled into apartments.
