Un sito di sicura importanza e di rivalutazione.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È un luogo storico! All'interno delle sue mura ospita la casa di riposo "CURZIO Salvini"! La torre Frangipane , il campanile etc è stato oggetto di intervento di ristrutturazione causa eventi bellici 1945 ..ora è fruibile e si può visitare ! CHIAMANDO lo 0773/7071 Comune di TERRACINA si ci fa PASSARE l'ufficio preposto . .e si prendono accordi x visite in loco...molto ALTRO c'è da dire ... e da raccontare....dal dopo GUERRA ad oggi! Eravamo piccoli infanti ... Paolo RASTVORTEZEF ED IO Andammo tra le MACERIE ... bombe già esplose....e quelle inesplose attraverso un buco SOTTO la TORRE FRANGIPANE con le pareti SGEGGIATE Da proiettili e bombe ...entrammo e incominciammo a salire.. mancavano dei scalini stretti ...qualcuno bastava toccarlo che precipitava giù.. che PAURA! IO me ne torno indietro NOO rispose PAOLO....IO già ci sono stato con VASIO .... metti i PIEDI vicino alla parete quando sali ..se no i scalini cadono giù...MADONNA! È Alto!.. Non guardare giù..! Guarda sempre AVANTI SIAMO quasi ARRIVATI ...la campana? Non mi sembrava tanto GRANDE! Rispetto a quella della CATTEDRALE . . PERÒ SUONAVA! AVEVA il segno sul lato dx di una SCHEGGIA O PALLOTTOLA ...Decidemmo di venire a SUONARE la campana ogni mezzoggiorno . Il PROBLEMA era che nel 1956 gli orologi erano UNA RARITÀ ! Dovevamo chiedere l'orario e poi essere precisi suonare la campana a MEZZOGGIORNO! LE PATATE? SI! Erano proprio delle patate ! Qualcuno le aveva nascoste ...erano all'angolo Nord del campanile ....si faceva fatica a riconoscerle.. ma erano talmente ammosciate e rugose ...somigliavano alla cute di una persona di cent'anni! A dopo...

The Frangipane tower, the bell tower etc has been the subject of restructuring due to war events in 1945 .. now it is usable and can be visited! CALLING 0773/7071 Municipality of TERRACINA, the office in charge will pass. . and arrangements are made for site visits ... much MORE there is to say ... and to tell .... from after the WAR to today! We were little infants ... Paolo RASTVORTEZEF AND I We went among the RUBBLE ... bombs already exploded ... and those unexploded through a hole UNDER the FRANGIPANE TOWER with the walls STROKED From bullets and bombs ... we entered and began to climb .. there were no narrow steps ... someone just touched it and it fell down .. what a FEAR! I am going back NOO replied PAUL .... I have already been there with VASIO .... put your FEET near the wall when you go up .. if not the steps fall down ... MADONNA! It's High! .. Don't look down ..! Always look FORWARD WE ARE ALMOST ARRIVED ... the bell? It didn't seem that BIG! Compared to that of the CATHEDRAL. . BUT IT PLAYED! IT HAD the mark on the right side of a SLIP OR BULLET ... We decided to come and RING the bell every noon. The PROBLEM was that in 1956, watches were A RARITY! We had to ask for the time and then be precise to ring the bell at NOON! POTATOES? YES! They were just potatoes! Someone had hidden them ... they were in the north corner of the bell tower .... it was hard to recognize them .. but they were so soft and wrinkled ... they resembled the skin of a hundred year old person! See you later...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Castello del 1100 bombardato e quasi totalmente distrutto nel '43 ma recuperato in parte con un pregevole lavoro di restauro.
Il sito, gestito dalla Fondazione Città di Terracina, è aperto alle visite nei weekend
