Il castello è ampiamente pubblicizzato sul web ma non è visitabile , neppure esternamente.La strada in lontananza è chiusa da un cancello, vi è la sede di un osservatorio astronomico e , mi sembra , di un gruppo del Cai. Viene da chiedersi perchè restaurare con soldi pubblici un monumento per poi non renderlo fruibile al pubblico anche in considerazione della cartellonistica sviluppata sui recenti scavi archeologici . Non dico entrarci ma renderlo visibile dall'esterno come avviene per le centinaia di monumenti toscani. Non è neppure possibile fare una foto data la distanza a cui si viene bloccati. . viene da pensare che sia il classico esempio italiano in cui una struttura è utilizzata solo per il profitto di alcuni . Ho fatto molta strada per vederlo e poi sono rimasto con un palmo di naso. One of the few places in the Siena area managed in a very bad way. Apertura al pubblico 2° è 4° venerdì del mese. Ingresso gratuito. Per prenotarsi rivolgersi al sito UAS. Purtroppo oggi non è più visitabile perché è stato ristrutturato dalla provincia e divenuto un osservatorio astronomico. Però è possibile vederlo dall'esterno, che non è poco.
