★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Altro posto spettacolare che il Molise e la provincia di Isernia in particolare offre.Per accedervi da Isernia basta prendere la strada che porta a Longano e nei pressi del bivio per Sant'Agapito scalo prendere la svolta a sinistra superare un ponticello dove sotto scorre il torrente Longanello e proseguire per la località Capruccia fin quando si incontra una fermata autobus alla destra della quale c'è un cartello segnaletico per i ruderi della chiesetta di Santa Maria di Altopede , altro posto molto suggestivo da vedere immerso nel verde e a pochi passi dalla cascata del Longanello.Dalla fermata dell'autobus c'è una stradina asfaltata alquanto disconnessa percorribile anche in macchina con le dovute precauzioni che dopo circa un km si collega a un sentiero da fare a piedi e che costeggia il fiume fino ad arrivare dopo circa un quarto d'ora di cammino ai ruderi della chiesetta e subito dopo alla cascata che si può ammirare in tutta la sua fragorosa bellezza.
