Comunque vale la pena venire fin quassù, anche solo per godere della vista del castello muovendosi tra i viottoli delle casette che circondano il castello. Molto suggestivo lo stretto ponticello da attraversare ai piedi del colle su cui sorge il castello. Too bad it's not always open, but a reservation is required to visit the castle. Un gioiello rimasto intatto e assolutamente ben tenuto, consigliato il giro del castello che all'interno nasconde un museo della storia del castello arricchito da molti oggetti che sono stati rinvenuti negli scavi per la ristrutturazione. Il castello è proprietà privata quindi per potervi accedere è necessario chiamare e farsi aprire, ed i proprietari vi intratterranno raccontando la storia di questo castello che li ha visti impegnati per oltre 40 anni. Disponibili e competenti! Consigliato! Beautiful castle, well maintained and with an incredible history. A jewel remained intact and absolutely well maintained, recommended the tour of the castle that hides inside a museum of the history of the castle enriched by many objects that were found in the excavations for the restructuring. The castle is private property so to access it you need to call and be opened, and the owners will entertain you telling the story of this castle that has seen them busy for over 40 years. Non essendo il loro impiego primario può essere difficile conciliare, ma se potete, visitatelo, na vale la pena. Estremamente poco turistico è molto autentico e genuino. Ricco di storia passata, raccontata egregiamente dal proprietario, che contestualizza il castello anche rispetto alla zona e ad altri possedimenti dei Conti Guidi nei dintorni. La storia recente è invece frutto di racconti di esperienze dirette e vita vissuta della famiglia, quindi anch'essa autentica e genuina. Il posto è incredibile, con una veduta eccezionale. Il paese sottostante è fermo nel tempo, anch'esso con una storia strettamente legata al castello. Il castello in se è invece ricco di vicende, di assedi, di reperti, di storia, di architettura medioevale e rivisitazioni successive. The place is amazing, with an exceptional view. The town below stands still in time, also with a history closely linked to the castle. The castle itself is instead rich in events, sieges, artifacts, history, medieval architecture and subsequent reinterpretations. REALLY BEAUTIFUL
