I stayed at Pellegrino one night, a fantastic welcome from Sister Barbara. She got up at 5:30 to prepare breakfast. Kind and always smiling! Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tutte le volte una piacevole sorpresa in Casentino!! Bellissimo posto che è anche museo di antichi mestieri: molto materiale sulla filatura, i pizzi al tombolo, e altri attrezzi artigianali. Ma soprattutto si può ammirare la preziosa tavola di Francesco Morandini detto il Poppi, l'Annunciazione, finita di restaurare e da ieri visibile al pubblico, previo appuntamento, visto che si trova all'interno del Monastero delle Agostiniane, per l'appunto a Poppi.
All the times a pleasant surprise in Casentino !! Beautiful place that is also a museum of ancient crafts: lots of material on spinning, pillow lace, and other artisan tools. But above all it is possible to admire the precious table by Francesco Morandini, known as Poppi, the Annunciation, which has been restored and which has been visible to the public since yesterday, by appointment, as it is located inside the Monastery of the Augustinians, precisely in Poppi .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiamato oggi per pernottare in questo convento, mi viene risposto che ancora non aprono.. per un solo pellegrino, perché per loro è un costo..("fosse stato un gruppo di 5/6 pellegrini", cit.)
Alché rispondo che mi accontento solo di un posto dove dormire e farmi una doccia, in quanto sono provvisto di sacco a pelo ma niente.
Anzi, mi viene consigliato l'albergo accanto (che chiede 75€/notte).
Bel modo di accogliere un pellegrino diretto a Roma..bravi.. complimenti.
Nei miei cammini in Spagna, Portogallo, ecc non mi è mai capitata una cosa così vergognosa.
Vergogna.. l'ospitalità è sacra in questi luoghi di culto, non un motivo di lucro e/o speculazione!
Called today to stay overnight in this convent, I am told that they still do not open .. for a single pilgrim, because for them it is a cost .. ("it was a group of 5/6 pilgrims", cit.)
To which I reply that I am satisfied only with a place to sleep and take a shower, as I have a sleeping bag but nothing.
Indeed, I am recommended the hotel next door (which asks for 75 € / night).
Nice way to welcome a pilgrim to Rome .. good .. congratulations.
In my walks in Spain, Portugal, etc., such a shameful thing has never happened to me.
Shame .. hospitality is sacred in these places of worship, not a reason for profit and / or speculation!
