mentre l'attuale costruzione risale in parte al XII secolo.
Fu dominio della potente famiglia degli Ezzelini, dei Visconti e della Serenissima.
È passato tra eventi bellici importanti che spesso lo hanno danneggiato.
Oggi, dopo importanti restauri, ospita alcuni uffici comunali ed è aperto in particolari occasioni.
Si può invece visitare, nei giorni festivi, parte del camminamento sulle sue mura.
 The castle is very ancient, its first traces date back to before the year 1000,
while the current construction dates back in part to the 12th century.
It was the domain of the powerful Ezzelini, Visconti and Serenissima family.
He passed between important war events that often damaged him.
Today, after major renovations, it houses some municipal offices and is open on special occasions.
Instead, you can visit part of the walkway on its walls during holidays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Parts of the castle date back to the 12th century. However, most of it cannot be visited. The sort of place to stop at if you're nearby, but not worth going out of your way for. Perhaps the local council could make more of the attraction.
