For experienced hikers easy for inexperienced a little strenuous. But you will be rewarded with a great view !!

Sono stato con i miei due bimbi 6 e 4 anni, 1h di passeggiata poco impegnativa, la gita è coronata dalla gioia dei bimbi nel vedere le rovine del castello in ottimo stato e dalle spade di cartone che gli avevo precedentemente preparato. Cavalieri all'assalto. ;-) Fun tour that I recommend. I was with my two children 6 and 4 years, 1h of undemanding walk, the trip is crowned by the joy of the children in seeing the ruins of the castle in excellent condition and by the cardboard swords that I had previously prepared. Knights on the assault. ;-)

Wir haben den Abstieg über den kurzen und steilen Weg zum Ausgangspunkt genommen, nur für trittsichere Wanderer zu empfehlen. Die Aussicht auf der Ruine ist grandios, der Innenhof der Leuchtenburg hat etwas geisterhaftes, unbedingt erkunden! Nice hike from the parking lot at the Gasthof Kreith to the Leuchtenburg. We took the descent via the short and steep path to the starting point, only recommended for sure-footed hikers. The view of the ruin is terrific, the inner courtyard of the Leuchtenburg has something ghostly, so explore it!
M	Michael Georg Wittmann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gut 30minuetiger Fussmarsch vom Kalterer See, Ostseite, über teils steilen und felsigen Waldpfad. Die Ruine ist, naja.. eine Ruine. Man kann über eine kleine Leiter ins Innere gelangen und sich einen Eindruck von den Räumlichkeiten verschaffen. Es sind Spuren eines Wandgemäldes zu sehen, Reste der Stützbalken der Zwischendecken. Die Außenmauern sind weit gehend erhalten, ebenfalls einige Innenwände. Dach und jegliche Zwischendecken sind long gone. Für Ruinenjäger, die sich in der Region aufhalten, ein Muss. Geschichte der Burg kann vielerorts nachgelesen werden. A good 30-minute walk from Lake Caldaro, east side, over a partly steep and rocky forest path. The ruin is, well.. a ruin. You can get inside via a small ladder and get an impression of the premises. There are traces of a wall painting, remains of the supporting beams of the false ceilings. The outer walls are largely preserved, as are some inner walls. The roof and any false ceilings are long gone. A must for ruin hunters staying in the region. The history of the castle can be read in many places.
M	Manuel H. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Schönster Ausblick über das Tal mit dem Kalterer See und den vielen verschiedenen schönen Sehenwerten Orten die sich da befinden. Die Wanderung ist zwa je Startpunkt unterschiedlich aber eigentlich immer für jedermann machbar. Es ist ein schöner halbtags Ausflug und gut kombinierbar mit dem See. Vormittag bei angenehmen Temoeraturen hoch wandern und nachmittags bei der Hitze dann am See entspannen und Baden. Most beautiful view over the valley with the Kalterer lake and the many different beautiful sights places that are there. The hike is different for each starting point but actually always feasible for everyone. It is a nice half day trip and can be combined with the lake. Hike in the morning with pleasant temeratures and in the afternoon relax in the heat on the lake and take a bath.
S	Saverio Addante on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Se volete visitare questo posto vi consiglio di parcheggiare proprio sul passo del coyote (la strada in salita che porta da Campi al Lago a Laimburg) Da lì farete circa 250 metri di strada a piedi sempre del passo per poi girare a sinistra dove ci sono le indicazione delle rovine di Castelchiaro e Denti di cavallo. Il sentiero è molto facile..adatto a tutti. Fino alla rovina sono circa 30 minuti. Una volta arrivati li potrete godere del panorama mozzafiato che guarda giù in valle.. Con il lago di caldaro protagonista. C'è la possibilità di entrare nel castello tramite una piccola scala in ferro... L'interno è abbastanza anonimo ma visto che si è lì vale. La pena visitarlo. Se avete tempo e forza potete andare anche a visitare i denti di cavallo. Dal castello tornati indietro sono circa una mezz'oretta. If you want to visit this place I suggest you park right on the coyote pass (the uphill road that leads from Campi al Lago to Laimburg) From there you will walk about 250 meters of road always on foot and then turn left where there are the indication of the ruins of Castelchiaro and Denti di Cavallo. The path is very easy .. suitable for everyone. Until the ruin it is about 30 minutes. Once you get there you can enjoy the breathtaking view that looks down into the valley ..
