★ ★ ★ ★ ★ nonostante la facciata sia solamente neo-romanica (metà '800) e l'interno completamente rifatto a colori, il solo nartece ispirato all'architettura armena e mozarabica, unico in Italia, merita sicuramente una visita. non scordate di visitare anche il deambulatorio dietro l'abside che contiene una raccolta di mosaici già appartenenti alla primitiva chiesa ed ora collocati a parete. notevole anche il Crofisso romanico, non comune, in legno rivestito di lamine d'argento.
la prima chiesa edificata su questo sito fu voluta dal re Longobardo Liutprando, convertitosi al cristianesimo. in seguito venne edificata quella romanica che subi diverse vicissitudini, distruzioni ed incendi...
although the facade is only neo-Romanesque (mid-19th century) and the interior completely redone in color, the only narthex inspired by Armenian and Mozarabic architecture, unique in Italy, is certainly worth a visit. do not forget to also visit the ambulatory behind the apse which contains a collection of mosaics formerly belonging to the primitive church and now placed on the wall. Also noteworthy is the uncommon Romanesque Crofix in wood covered with silver leaf.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un duomo bellissimo e curato proprio in centro città! Sia l’esterno che l’interno sono molto particolari. L’ingresso è gratuito, poi vi è anche un museo a pagamento. Consiglio di visitarlo.
A beautiful and well-kept cathedral right in the city center! Both the exterior and the interior are very special. Admission is free, then there is also a paid museum. I recommend to visit it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Veramente bello con la sua facciata a capanna incorniciata dai due campanili duecenteschi. Ma quello che lascia senza parole è il nartece antistante l'entrata, con i suoi archi, matronei, bifore e trifore: spettacolare. L' interno è a 5 navate e vi si trovano le reliquie di Sant'Evasio patrono della città e un Crocifisso medievale in argento e pietre dure, che i casalesi portarono via dal Duomo di Alessandria durante le guerre tra le due città. Vale sicuramente la visita.
Really nice with its façade framed by two thirteenth-century bell. But that leaves you speechless is the narthex in front of the entrance, with its arches, women's galleries, mullioned windows: spectacular. L 'interior has five naves and there are the relics of Sant'Evasio patron of the city and a medieval crucifix silver and semiprecious stones, that casalesi him away from the Cathedral of Alexandria during the war between the two cities. Definitely worth the visit.
