We were at the end of September 2008 in this house. The rooms were basic but very clean. The food was a bit getting used to, but quite edible. The sisters were very friendly. Unfortunately, they did not speak German. An agreement was unfortunately not possible.

The nuns are too nice. They treat you like family.

Many active religious sisterhoods in Rome have converted their convents into holiday accommodation, and if it wasn't for them the hotel situation in the city would be desperate. This bunch, the "Augustinian Sisters of Divine Love" are a bit more interested than most. They are elderly, and there have been hiccups recently when things got too much (they want to say "sorry" to those giving bad reviews), but they are proud of their beautiful modern little chapel and welcome casual visitors as well as residents to Mass: Weekdays 6:45, Sundays 11:00. And if you have personal or spiritual problems and are a guest, they are willing to try to help (OK, foreign languages are not a speciality but they do want to be kind).

It was really peaceful and the sisters are great. Some speak English though most speak Italian. I really enjoyed my trip and my stay there. It was well-kept and always cleaned when we got back from touring Rome. I would definitely go back someday!?

Was there on a pilgrimage/tour with school kids (middle and high school) and it was perfect for our purposes. Don't go expecting a hotel experience; expect a simple quiet retreat hosted by lovely sisters. A simple breakfast and an authentic 3 course meal is provided. We felt very cared for and safe. Planning our next trip already!
